We have completed the New Hampshire State Mandala animated video. This is the third in what will be a series of all fifty states.

I have completed the revised version of the Maine State Mandala animated video. The video includes all the images in the mandala, as well as explanatory text, and musical accompaniment. It has definite improvements, and I learned a lot in the process. Animation, graphics, and text by Bob Coyne. Original music and performance by Daniel M. at Fiverr.com. I am working on the New Hampshire video now in collaboration with Chris Mills.

I have completed the revised Maine State Mandala with the new symbols.

Tuesday, May 17, 2016

I am revising the Maine state mandala to add a puffin and a Native American symbol complex. Maine is the only state in the US with a breeding population of Atlantic Puffins. There are four Native American Nations in Maine which are part of the Wabanake Confederacy which extends into Canada, and southward into New Hampshire and Vermont. In the center is the Wabanake Confederacy symbol. Starting from the top and rotating clockwise are the nations of: Penobscot, Passamaquoddy, Micmac, and Maliseet. My thanks to Virginia Sand for explanation of the symbology, and design assistance.

I have completed the New Hampshire mandala. I added images of a cog railroad, a waterfall, Hampton Beach, Lake Winnipesaukee tour boat, anchor, Karner butterfly, and apples. Next is to create the animated video, then on to Vermont.

Stage Nine of New Hampshire Mandala

I have added a couple more rings to the New Hampshire mandala. I've added the Old Man in the Mountain, lupins, a squirrel, a skier, snowshoes, a covered bridge, gondola, and Mt. Washington. This design is taking a long time, but I am learning a lot, and improving my process.
