Connecticut Video

Chris finished the animation and Angelo sent the music, so we have the video completed for Connecticut. It is number 7 in our series and completes the New England states. We are about three quarters done on New York, so we are making good progress. Yankee Doodle is the official state song, so Angelo did this beautiful arrangement and performance of that.

New York Ongoing

I painted the scene of the Adirondack Mountains and the country church. The rose garent is the state gem.

More New York

Katrina G. at Freelancer painted the Adirondack chair. The Iroquois Confederacy Flag represents the 5 nations from left to right: Seneca, Cayuga, Onendaga, Oneida, and Mohawk. I painted the Statue of Liberty.

New York Continued

Yogesh S. at Freelancer.com painted the bay scallopf for New York. Neelam J. at Freelancer painted the grapes, and I create the image of the Empire State Building.

New York State Mandala

The red rose is the state flower and the bluebird is the state bird. The 9 spotted ladybug is the state insect. The Statue of Liberty is an iconic symbol of New York.

Connecticut Outer Rings

The Mohegan tribal symbol represents the Native American traditions of Connecticut. The state is famous for its barns and even has a trail of barns. The ice house reminds us of the winter activities of New England. The White Oak is a reminder of the Charter Oak which is the state tree.

More Connecticut

We have added more images to our Connecticut collection. I painted the deep sea fisherman. Mika completed the ruffed grouse. Kayla painted the haddock and Harness Tower at Yale, and I just finished the Signing of the Constitution. It is a detail of Howard Chandler Cristy's magnificent painting.

The anchor represents New Hampshire's long shipping tradition. The cog railroad up Mt Washington is a popular tourist attraction. Glen Falls is an example of the beautiful waterfalls of the state.

New Hampshire Center

I have not shared most of the images which went into the New Hampshire mandala, so will do so now. The purple lilacs and purple finch make up the center of the mandala. The praying mantis is the official state insect of Connecticut. Next is a cluster of oak leaves and acorns. The eastern oyster is the state shellfish. Also shown are a great horned owl and porcupine representing Connecticut and New England.
